What does...mean? the most ask questions about product terms

Piqué [peeKAY] - A knitted fabric with a waffle, or diamond-shaped, pattern. French piqué knits became an international favorite when René Lacoste, a 1920's French tennis champion, designed the polo shirt.  We recommend you choose a pique polo shirt for most uses.  Although, it's usually a heavier fabric, its "meshy" knit provides a great deal of "breathability".

Tubular Construction - A method of knitting that yields fabric in a tubular configuration which is cut into sections that form the body of a shirt without side seams.  Tee shirts are generally constructed using this method as are some value priced polo shirts.

Placket - The part of a shirt or jacket where the garment fastens together.

Jersey - A knitted fabric with a plain, flat surface on the outside and a textured surface inside. Tee shirts are the product usually associated with jersey knits, although lower-priced polo shirts are also fabricated from jersey knits.  We recommend jersey knits when price is the only constraint.  Otherwise, we recommend you choose a pique or interlock polo shirt.

Can I mix sizes and colors?

Items, Sizes and Colors.  If each item you order uses the same design, you may combine items, sizes and colors for pricing. example, you can order 48 golf shirts, 24 oxford shirt and 24 caps using the same design.

Headwear [caps].  Because embroidery on headwear requires a special setup and special equipment, headwear must stand alone for quantity pricing and for minimum quantities.

What are the size scale?

Our shirts are design to fit comfortable – so it is neither skimpy nor baggy. We have already allowed for shrinkage according to the fabric and directions on the care label. There should be no need to size-up or size-down unless you have a particular fit preference. One you have found your size for a particular garment style, you can confidently order the same size in any similar product range we carry.

What if I only needed 12 units?

Minimum Quantity.  Because of the extensive set-up time and expense required to custom embroider a logo, we have a 12 piece minimum for embroidery.

Should you need fewer than 12 pieces of embroidery and cost is not an overriding issue, we can waive the normal 12-piece minimum by adding a setup fee of $150.00 to the unit price.
